Phere

Indian weddings were living in WhatsApp groups and Excel. Guest lists in one thread, the photographer in another, the budget in a file someone last opened in March. I wanted one room for that.

Phere is a wedding workspace — for the couple, both families, a planner, a wedding company. Dates, guests, budget, vendors, invites. The first screen is supposed to answer what needs you this week (send the Sangeet RSVP follow-up, confirm the photographer balance), not list every aunt equally.
RSVPs are by event, because “428 invited” is a number a caterer cannot cook from. Veg, non-veg, Jain sit next to the count. Money stays behind a permission: family can see the guest list and the run of events without seeing what the mandap costs. AI can draft an invite in Hindi or Hinglish, or a WhatsApp nudge for the people who have not replied — nothing is sent until a person says yes.
What I actually sell right now is more boring than the dashboard. You send the list and the dates. In 48 hours there is a page guests can open, one locked list, and numbers you can read out to a caterer. ₹15,000, UPI, that wedding. Delhi NCR and Jaipur first. I still think of the rest as an MVP.
